Grace's family immigrated from Chile to Canada in the late 70's. Born in 1984, in a town on the Canadian Prairies. Grace is the fifth of six children. She studied art history at McGill University in Montreal and Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico; then moved to London to study an MA in fine art at Central Saint Martins. She went on to do the Drawing Year at Royal Drawing School (formerly The Prince's Drawing School). She is a painter and a performance artist, and has performed and exhibited in Mexico City, Toronto, Montreal, London, Glasgow, Kassel and Berlin. Grace is strongly influenced by folklore and South American spiritual practices. Her paintings, performances and installations, have at their core, the concepts of the sacred origins of art and the significance of votive objects.
